96 E.C.S Def‑Led has what you need to take your learning to the next level. Across England — Sussex, London, Somerset and the West — we deliver British Social Sign Language (BSSL) and Signature BSL courses, online or in‑person, with daily tips, resources and free tutorials.

“Welcome to Level 1 British Sign Language” is our Deaf‑led beginner pack — fingerspelling, greetings, grammar and what to expect from your first classroom. Pop in your name, email and phone number and it's yours instantly.
Why 96
Every course is designed and delivered by qualified Deaf tutors. You learn the language from the community that lives it.
Study our own British Social Sign Language alongside Signature‑accredited BSL — the way real signers actually use it.
Join a live class from anywhere in England, or meet us in Sussex, London, Somerset and the West.
Weekly resources, free tutorials and Communication Support Workers keep momentum going between lessons.
Our mission
96 E.C.S Def‑Led is guided by three critical points — Incorporation (Integration), Refinement (Enhancement) and Cultivation (Development) — delivering a dynamic, forward‑thinking learning experience for learners and partner organisations.
We are dedicated to improving communication among deaf and hearing people so that individuals with disabilities are granted equal access to education, entertainment, employment and services — promoting awareness and consciousness through signing language alongside spoken languages.
